About land tax
Land tax is a tax levied on the owners of land in New South Wales (NSW) as at midnight on the 31 December of each year. Land tax applies to land regardless of whether income is earned from the land.

First Home Owner Grant (New Homes) scheme 
The First Home Owner Grant (New Homes) scheme (the Scheme) was established to assist eligible first home owners to purchase a new home or build their home by offering a $15,000 grant. The Scheme applies to new homes only and will reduce to $10,000 on 1 January 2016.
